| Abstract |
The Author gives information, restricted to malacology, about the Law n. 874 of December 19th, 1975: Ratification and enforcing of the convention on international trade in endangered species, of wild fauna and flora, signed in Washington March 3rd, 1973. The exploitation of the Mollusca is examined from the industrial and alimentary point of view as well as from that of collectors. The Author quotes the main national, regional and provincial laws concerning these animals. Finally he invites all the Italian Malacologists to point out the possible species of Italian malacofauna for which a trade regulation is necessary and desirable in order to grant a "future" to the Mollusca and their habitat. |
