Abstract
    Pontarachna arabica, a new species of the predominantly marine water mite family Pontarachnidae (Acari: Hydrachnidia) is described from the Red Sea (Saudi Arabia). First descriptions of the female and deutonymph are given for Litarachna smiti Pesié, Chattetjee & Ahmed Abada, 2008.
