Abstract
Litarachna caribica, a new species of the predominantly marine water mite family Pontarachnidae (Acari: Hydrachnidia) is described from the Caribbean Sea (Curaçao, Netherlands Antilles). New records and the first description of the deutonymph are given for Litarachna degiustii Cook, 1958.
