Abstract
The present state of the Belgian shipbilding industry is described. There is only one yard remaining capable of building large, complex sea going vessels, Boelwerf NV, and its current activities are reviewed. Other news items concerning the Belgian port and shipping industry include a description of new twin roll-on/roll-off berths built at Antwerp, and a brief preview of the 9th International Harbour Congress to be held in Antwerp in June 1988.
