Abstract
The modelling procedure adopted to study salt-water intrusion in the coastal plain of Capoterra has pointed to several discrepancies between field data and values calculated by numerical simulation. The original hydrogeological and conceptual models have been adjusted accordingly and the modified versions will be used in future data-acquisition phases, and new boundary conditions haven been defined for further numerical simulations.
