Abstract
A faunistic analysis of a total of 121 benthic samples collected from 31 stations in the infralittoral zone of the Aegean Sea, on various substrata and at various depths, yielded a total of 90 syllid species (18957 individuals). Four species are newly reported for the Mediterranean fauna and 27 species for the Eastern Mediterranean. Further, 60 species out of 90 are newly reported for the fauna of Turkey. Some comments on the Mediterranean syllids are provided.
