Abstract
19 species of Cirripedia, 8 of them being new were found in the collections of RV Dmitry Mendeleev and RV Vityaz from the bathyal and abyssal zones in the Australian and New Zealand waters. Most endemics inhabit shallow waters from the littoral to the upper bathyal (this can be attributed to a long standing isolation of Australian and New Zealand) and the abyssal where the connections with other regions are severed by neighbouring underwater ridges. Mostly widespread are bathyal species which usually inhabit the Indo-West-Pacific or West Pacific waters, and littoral, and upper sublittoral species distributed by ships and drifting wood.
