Abstract
Two lndo-Pacific species of Nassariidae, both misidentified in recent literature, are discussed: Nassarius deshayesii (Hombron & Jacquinot, 1848), type locality Ambon, Indonesia and Nassarius kieneri (Deshayes, 1863), a little-known endemic species from Reunion Island, both synonymized with N. livescens (Philippi, 1849) by Cernohorsky (1984) and others. A new name is introduced for Nassa kieneri Deshayes, 1863, non Buccinum kieneri Anton, 1938.
