Abstract
    A live male specimen of Crepidula fornicate (Linné, 1758) was found in shallow water in a bay at Ådnøya in Kvitsøy, Rogaland county, in July 1996. The specimen was about 2.5 cm long and attached to an empty C. fornicate shell, about 5 cm long. The record is the first reported west of Mandal, Norway.
