| Abstract |
In this work is given the result of catch surveys of the dolphin Coryphaena hippurus during the period 1981-1997. Catches are realised during a campaign of 3 to 4 months. Spatio-temporal fluctuations of the production are analysed in function of physico-chemical parameters (temperature and salinity) and data of exploitation (records of landings, increase of sites of landing). Specific catching techniques with the help of fish concentration devices are described in this study. The total length at catch is estimated at 15 cm. Average sizes, all along the catch campaign have been followed. The first experiments of dolphin fish aquaculture in Tunisia have not been conclusive. |
