Abstract
Treatment of sea bream with estradiol-17 beta (E sub(2); 10 mg/kg body weight) reduced pituitary PRL mRNA compared to control fish. The expression of PRL-r in the gonads of treated fish was significantly increased. The present study suggests that PRL and its receptor may be regulated by E sub(2).
