Abstract
This study describes the characterization of the oocyte VTG receptor from Siberian sturgeon, Acipenser baeri. We identified this receptor as a 97 KDa protein, characterized by low affinity and high capacity for sturgeon VTG. The apparent K sub(D) is 6.06 10 super(-8) M, with B sub(max) of 9.99 10 super(-9) M Heterologous binding of sturgeon VTG to rainbow trout VTG receptor is also reported.
