Abstract
    In the present study ultrasound scanning was found to be a powerful non-invasive tool for determining sex and stage of ovulation in Atlantic halibut and monitoring ovarian development throughout the year. Ultrasound scans were correlated with ovarian biopsies and histology of fixed material.
