Abstract
The effects of freeze rate, using 0.5, 1.7 (flat) or 5.0 ml straws, and DMA or DMSO cryoprotectant on the cryopreservation of rainbow trout semen were studied. DMA resulted in higher pre-freeze and post-freeze viability of rainbow trout sperm than DMSO. At fast freeze rates, the fertility of frozen semen in all straw sizes was high
