Abstract
In Nerophis lumbriciformi, females have an active share in reproduction during a great part of the year from Jan to Sept. Throughout this period, each female is laying eggs successively several times and, in the ovary, oocytes are divided in so many stages of development. Before sexual rest, from May, new group of oocytes is growing. On the other hand, from Sept-Oct, groups of small oocytes are beginning to ripen. Thus females will be ready to lay eggs next Jan.
