Abstract
    C. minuta sp.n. is described from the French Mediterranean coast. C. minuta is a very small creeping sp characterised at first by a disjointed zoarium. The zoids have a large gymnocyst beginning with a very long tubular part budded from one of the 3 uniporous pore-chambers (1 distal, 2 lateral) of the preceding zoid. Hyperstomial ovicell of acleithral type; 11-12 marginal spines, some of them with a lateral apophysis; cryptocyst moderately developed, with granular vertical part and a smooth horizontal lamina. C. minuta lives in total darkness within microholes and crevices of a constructed coralligenous rock.
