Abstract
    The occurrence of 3 new medusae in the Loire estuary in 1971 is reported. Maeotias inexspectata from the Sea of Azov and Black Sea. Blackfordia virginica from the Caspian Sea. Black Sea, Chesapeake Bay and Ganges estuary. Nemopsis bachei, from the east coast of USA, northern Europe (Zuiderzee, Elbe and Weser estuaries), Gironde in France. This last sp is known in the Loire since 1968.
