Abstract
An analytical study is made of a collection of >1000 polychaetes dredged between 200 and 1300 m at the bathyal level of the gulf of Gascogne, North shore of Spain, in 1970. 120 spp are investigated. Among which, 80 had already been collected during the first 2 cruises; especially noticed were 2 spp practically unknown before: Parasthenelais hibernica (McIntosh), Sigalioninae, and Nothria hispanica Amoureux, sp.n., Onuphinae without gillsiSH The other 40 spp had not been discovered during the first 2 cruises of the Thalassa in 1967 and 1968: 6 of them do not exist in 'La Faune de France' of Fauvel.
