Abstract
The unit of fishing effort which has been chosen is the product of the unfolded motor power (cv) by the duration of valuable fishing (in hr).In the zone exploited by trawlers of Concarneau, that stretches from Scotland to Penmarch Head, the total PUE (catch for unit effort) and ray PUE vary in contrary direction: the 1st increases to the North, the 2nd increases to South. The ponderal composition of ray capture in the different zones shows the importance of 3 spp (R. batis, R. clavata, R. naevus), that constitute 70-80 p 100 of the landed rays.
