Abstract
Twenty-eight species of cheilostomatous Bryozoa are described from the extensive benthic collections made by the BIOFAR project. Fifteen new species are described in the genera Beania, Escharella, Hemicyclopora, Neolagenipora, Porella, Palmiskenea, Reteporellina, Escharina, Stomachetosella, Smittoidea and Pseudoflustra. Thirteen species with either Arctic or temperate distributions are reported for the first time from Faroese waters.
