Abstract
Sera from 10 different spp of C. decapod and purified hemocyanins from 4 of the have been analysed by electrophoretic and immunological methods. Each of these hemocyanins has been tested with the immunsera directed against it and the total serum of the 9 other spp. The observed heterologous reactions show that a clear concordance exists between the systematic and biochemical relationships of these different spp. For each analysed hemocanin, absorbed immunsera indicated specific determinants and some common determinants it shares with the hemocyanins of related spp.
