Abstract
The nervous system of N. atomata consists of several plexuses: epidermal, pharyngeal, subepidermal, ventral and dorsal submuscular and parenchymal. The brain is connected with the ventral submuscular plexus. Possible ways of the evolution of the turbellarian nervous system are discussed. The nervous system of polyclads and of other flatworms are not homologous.
