Abstract
The concentration and distribution of dissolved lithium has been determined in the St. Lawrence River and the Scheldt River estuaries. Dissolved Li behaves conservatively in both estuaries during mixing of river water with seawater. However, a localized input of dissolved Li exists in the Scheldt estuary, which is believed to be caused by industrial discharge.
