Abstract
Aspects of the structure (species composition and relative abundance, species diversity and species associations) of meiobenthic copepod assemblages have been investigated from a range of sediment types collected in nine different biotopes along the French Atlantic coast. The collecting stations were representative of intertidal, estuarine and lagoon environments with salinities ranging from 0.5 to 38 p. 1000. The influence of deposited fine particulate matter, and distance from the open sea, on community variables is assessed using correspondence analysis.
