Abstract
Twenty species of Pycnogonida (and some unidentifiable specimens) are recorded from deeper waters (135-2110 m) on both sides of the sill of Gibraltar (Alboran Sea, Straits of Gibraltar and the Ibero-Moroccan Bay). The biogeography of these taxa is discussed in relation to the distribution of the outflow of Mediterranean waters into the Atlantic.
