Abstract
    Two new species of marine Tardigrada belonging to the Batillipedidae family are described: Batillipes marcelli collected from the Ionian Sea off southern Italy and Batillipes africanus from Roberts Port (Liberia). Some taxonomic characteristics are discussed.
