Abstract
A male specimen of Microcassiope minor (Dana) from the southeast of Spain represents the first record of the species for the West Mediterranean Sea. The recent studies of the decapod fauna of the Alboran Sea show that West African Atlantic species are colonizing this Mediterranean area.
