Abstract
Monodonta lineata had disappeared from the Brittany Atlantic of Morbihan, after the cold winter of 1963. This gastropod has appeared again in 1975, but only in small populations. This study, covering over several years, permits us to draw the following essential facts: the size of the studied population is relatively low, but stable; Monodonta lineata reaches its sexual maturity in approximately equals 1 year, when the big diameter of its shell (D) is 14.6 mm; the numerical equality of sexes is realized (sex ratio male to female = 1:1); Monodonta lineata has 2 reproductive periods every year: in spring (April to June) and in autumn (September to October); growth is of little importance during winter, but is greatest in spring; and Monodonta lineata can live for two and a half years.
