Abstract |
The sperm quality of sea bream Sparus aurata and sea bassDicentrarchus labrax is estimated by the density of spermatozoa, the intensity of their motility and his duration after dilution. The survival os sperm conserved at 4 degree C is examined. The milt presented a different quality depending on the date of the sample. With a mean seasonal value of 3.9.10 super(9) cell./ml for sea bream and 14.10 super(9) cell./ml for sea bass, the density of spermatozoa decreased during the period of reproduction. Gamete motility is minimal at the end of spermiation period. The sperm sampled in the middle of the season is conserved much longer: 3 days for the sea bream and 10 days for the sea bass. |
