Abstract
Data on 12 species of cheilostomatous bryozoan collected from the NW of the Iberian Peninsula are included. Five of them are cited for the first time from this area; revision of collection samples confirms the presence of six other species, previously cited under different names. One species (Smittina jordii) is new to science. The record of Escharella praealta extends its geographical and bathymetrical range. Upgrading of Bugula neritina sessilis to species level is proposed, placing it in the genus Dendrobeania.
