Abstract
This paper presents an analysis of data collected on several species of demersal fish caught in Scottish research-vessel trawling surveys in the North Sea during the period 1922-1971. The purpose of the analysis was to determine whether the data (1) reveal long-term changes in indices of abundance, (2) show changes in size composition with time, and (3) can be used to demonstrate whether there are correlations between the indices of abundance for the various species.
