Abstract
New information is presented on the gross morphology (peraeopod 7, uropod 3), cuticular fine structure, liver colour, population structure, fecundity, egg size, brood volume, breeding season, diet and behaviour of the oedicerotid amphipod Monoculodes gibbosus Chevreux, 1888, one of the rarest amphipods in the British marine fauna, from animals collected over a one-year period in Loch Fyne, Scotland.
