Abstract
Presented herein is a discussion of the problem of wave-induced forces on ship’s moorings, together with the details of a study of four ship models, each with a different mooring system. The resulting mooring line and mooring fender forces are given. In addition, the correlations between prototype and model natural periods of surge and sway for an AFDL (floating drydock) are given.
