| Abstract |
The author mentions 10 rarely observed Rhodophyceae from the French coasts of the Channel: Chondria dasyphylla, Griffithsia devoniensis, Plumaria elegans (Ceramiales), Grateloupia filicina (Cryptonemiales), Phyllophora traillii (Gigartinales), Scinaia forcellata (Nemalionales), Cordylecladia erecta, Lomentaria orcadensis, Rhodymenia pseudopalmata var. pseudopalmata and var. ellisiae (Rhodymeniales). A brief morphological description is given and some anatomical details or data on the reproductive structures are added. The auto-ecology of the seaweeds is also mentioned. |
