Abstract
    A number of North Sea samples were studied with X-ray diffraction on the influence of different chemical treatments, higher temperatures, lower pressure-measuring conditions and combinations of these. The intention was to find the treatment(s) after which, and the measuring conditions with which the differences in their mineralogical composition were best to be seen.
