The Flemish Interuniversity Council - University Development Cooperation (VLIR-UOS) organizes a Kenya seminar on 11 September 2014 in Brussels, Belgium.

In 2013, Kenya was elected as one of the 20 partner countries of VLIR-UOS. VLIR-UOS will now work out a country strategy for Kenya, to serve as a road map for future cooperation. The seminar is intended to inform the Flemish universities and colleges on the development of the country strategy, but also to hear the views, experiences, and suggestions for collaborations with Kenya of the academics and tutors in Flanders.

Prof. Dr. Jan Mees, General Director of the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ) will elaborate on the partnership between VLIZ and the Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute (KMFRI) and the opportunities for collaborations with academics and tutors in Flanders.
