3D-modellering van intertidale strandzone in maart 2017 [3D modelling of intertidal beach zone in March 2017]

Beschrijving
During the intertidal campaign in March 2017, three MTLS surveys using the Kymco were performed. The measurements took place on 14, 20 and 23 March. The complete zone of the study site was measured (zone 103). Every 10 meters driving lines were driven parallel to the dyke (red lines on figure). Main area of interest is the area between the lines perpendicular to the dyke (black profiles). Between these profiles: the driving speed was limited to 7 km/h, beyond these line the driving speed was raised to 10 km/h. On the same three days the beach was also measured using RTK GNSS antenna’s placed on 3 small beach carts. The RTK network of Flepos was used to receive the GNSS corrections. The survey time is 3 - 4 hours and 6 people are needed to carry out the survey, which makes this very time consuming and labour intensive. These measurements provide a grid of the study site with a resolution of 5 meters and an accuracy of 6 cm.
