Abstract:
Activités principales du laboratoire : étude des algues, en particulier les algues bleues ("cyanobactéries") et rouges et des champignons, en particulier les Basidiomycètes lignivores et les Gastéromycètes. L'accent est mis sur la systématique et l'écologie. En systématique, les expérimentations en culture et l'utilisation des méthodes basées sur le DNA et l'électrophorèse d'enzymes sont privilégiées. La production des différentes substances, notamment toxiques, par les algues bleues est également étudiée. En écologie : rôle des algues dans la production primaire en milieu marin (Papouasie Nouvelle-Guinée, Corse, Antarctique) ainsi qu'en eau douce, et plus particulièrement au rôle des algues bleues et par ailleurs l'écologie des champignons terrestres. Une expertise particulière existe dans le domaine de la nomenclature botanique.
