Abstract |
Flows of particulate carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, chlorophyll a, crude fiber, carbohydrate, and adenosine tri-phosphate; and of dissolved nitrogen and phosphorus between a marsh and the Patuxent estuary, Maryland, USA, were measured over a 2-year period. Virtually no carbon was exchanged, while net flows of nitrogen and phosphorus were from the marsh to the estuary, principally in dissolved forms. (c) 1976 Springer-Verlag. |
