Carl and his dog Keta, at sea aboard the trawler 'Risten', whose home port is Le Guilvinec, France. The boat is mainly fishing for Nephrops (Langoustine), but has a smaller by-catch of other species
Description Most of the time Keta displayed a lack of interest in the fish, but kept a keen lookout for any conga eels. Whenever one was landed he would chase it around the deck relentlessly until it could be placed out of his reach.The fleet leaves between 3am and 5am each morning, returning between 4pm and 5pm the same day. In the summer months, the returning boats are greeted by hundreds of onlookers, both locals and tourists, to watch the spectacle of the catch being landed and ferried into the market for the fish auction. ·
