Area of built-up land

Definition : Percentage of built-up land by distance from the coastline (1km and 10km buffers) and by administrative unit (municipalities, districts, sub-regions)
Description : The percentage of built-up land measures the area of land that is taken up by categories of intensive land uses as defined by Corine Land Cover classes 111 to 133 (Continuous and discontinuous urban fabric, industrial or commercial units, road and rail networks and associated land, port and airport areas, mineral extraction sites, dump sites and construction sites)
