Theme 3 - Coastal and marine spatial planning.

The Thematic Network 3 Coastal and Marine Spatial Planning is part of the ENCORA Coordination Action which aims to overcome existing fragmentation of knowledge for sustainable coastal development, spread among hundreds of European institutions for coastal policy-making and coastal management and furthermore to strengthen the links existing within and between the coastal science and practitioner communities.

Theme 3 aims at integrating spatial analysis approaches into coastal and marine planning, bridging science and policy making in respect to coastal and marine spatial planning and promoting innovative tools and methodologies for a multispatial and intersectoral coastal and marine spatial planning. These are pursued through a variety of activities and events.
