Job Dronkers: I merged the articles 'Classification of coastal profiles' and 'Coastal zone characteristics' that had great overlap and changed the title to 'Characteristics of sedimentary shores', which fits the content better. I redrafted the articles and added paragraphs on Characteristic parameters and Sediment supply. I also added the figure on the global distribution of storm and wave climate and I added several links and references.
