Abstract
    Ocean disaster affect the lives of many thousands of people each year. Within minutes, a ocean disaster can rip apart a community, and change the lives of its residents forever. People who understand disaster and know what to do beforehand and after a disaster hits can significantly reduce disaster details and property damage. The main objective of the book is to stimulate the communication of solutions to the multidisciplinary problems associated with ocean disasters in order to improve methods of protecting people and property. It provides the Ocean disaster management community with an independent and wide ranging source of views, opinions and knowledge dedicated to improving our ability to foresee and mitigate the negative effects of natural hazards.
