Abstract
During the Bremerhaven Workshop, a liquid-solid enrichment technique was used to extract lipophilic organic compounds from seawater. The toxicity of extracts was tested after dilution with seawater corresponding to different enrichment factors. Extracts from the more inshore areas proved significantly more toxic compared to those from the more offshore locations.
