Geographical strains of the brine shrimp, Artemia, can be characterized by the diameter of their cysts, their cyst volume and chorion thickness. The paper describes the routine procedure that has been worked out for an accurate size-analysis of Artemia cyst batches using Coulter Counter® equipment.
