LifeWatch Biodiversity Day 2023: Habitat mapping

Thursday 26 January 2023 is the (new) date for the LifeWatch Biodiversity Day – the annual event on biodiversity where science, citizens, policy and industry can meet. This second edition at the KVAB in Brussels focuses on mapping biotopes and habitats. A technique that provides essential data for research and conservation of biodiversity, both on land and at sea. Prepare for an overview of open remote sensing data and various practical applications in the field. Ready to discover, learn, connect and be inspired?

Because of the announced strikes on 5 October, we saw no other option than to postpone the event to another date: Thursday 26 January 2023.

Program

The organizers promise to offer you a day full of keynote lectures, new insights and interaction with stakeholders who will demonstrate the state of the art in this field and prepare you for an even more challenging future.

The program is designed in such a way that it is accessible to participants from science, policy and industry, as well as to interested citizens active in the conservation of biodiversity, both on land and at sea.
