Description
The objective of this monitoring network is to determine the transport of suspended particulate matter from non-navigable waterways to navigable waterways. These data serve to compose mud balances for the basin of the lower Zeeschelde.

Scope
Themes:
Coastal studies (e.g. shores, estuaries), Water composition, Water composition > Suspended matter - turbidity

Parameters
Current flow rate water Methodology
Suspended material Methodology
Water level Methodology
Current flow rate water: Tidal curve
For determination of the discharge, a correlation curve between water level and flow is used.

Current flow rate water: Acoustic flow meters
Water flow is directly monitored using acoustic flow meters
Suspended material: Monitoring concentration of suspended material
Before being placed in the station, the monitors and their sondes were calibrated using a water sample of 30 liters that was taken on the location of the station. The dataloggers are programmed tot register 1 value each 2 minutes from the monitors. During the first operational year, sampling gear is installed together with the monitor. This sampling gear contains 24 bottles of 1 liter. They are programmed to take 1 sample each 7 hours. After 1 week al 24 bottles are filled. After the first
