Description
This project is a collaboration between different institutes to establish a better connection between the salt Wadden Sea and fresh water zones for diadromous fish to freely migrate between the two. In this project we aim at: 1. reestablish a migration route between salt/fresh water barriers, 2. connect and restore freely migratable inland river systems and, 3. improve upstream habitats for spawning and juvenile fish. Different diadromous fish will be studies amongst which are: Atlantic eel, stickleback, shad, lamprey and flounder.
