Abstract
The revision of the Rissoininae of the French West Indiesshow that the taxa belonging to that subfamily are relativelydiversified with no less than 27 species having been identified, part of which has never previously been signaled from theseislands, nor listed in malacological inventories, even those ofrecent date. In the material collected, often non-living, originating from the coastal zones or from insular shelves, 7 taxa appear to beoriginal and described as new species, 3 of which, due to their dominant morphological characteristics, have been placed in the genus Schwartziella, 1 in the sub-genus Phosinella, which might be proposed as a genus, and 3 in the genus Rissoina, one of which is classed in the sub-genus Rissolina. Reservations are expressed concerning the 2 others, their sub-genus or even genus positions are uncertain because of their specific characteristics.
